MM loves stew in the winter. Well, I think he likes stew at any time of the year, but I generally only cook stew in the crockpot during the fall and winter months. Here in Georgia, the weather from April to September makes me disinterested in having a steaming bowl of stew. When I start making stews in the crockpot again, this tends to be my favorite recipe. The preparation takes under 10 minutes.
Golden Mushroom Beef Stew:
- 2 pounds stew meat
- 1 can Golden Mushroom Soup
- 1 can full of Red Wine
- 1 package of Lipton’s Onion soup mix
- 1 can of sliced mushrooms OR one small package of sliced mushrooms **This is a mater of taste, add more mushrooms if you prefer them, or less if you don’t like them that much.**
Add all of the ingredients into your crockpot, and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with egg noodles. (While we do generally serve with egg noodles, you can also serve the dish with rice, as is shown in the picture!)
